This classical style Tibetan thangka of Guru Rinpoche, surrounded by an expansive retinue, was hand painted on canvas and stitched with a brocade border. The second Buddha of our time, Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava or the 'Lotus Born One', is known for establishing Vajrayana Buddhism and the highest forms of Dzogchen in Tibet.
